My New Business

When you start your business everything is new, exciting, and can be very confusing. One of those confusing issues is how you should form your entity (business). The most common forms are Sole Proprietor, LL, S-Corp, or C-Corp. There are pro’s and con’s to each. I will go through them below.

Please note that I am NOT an attorney. Many new business owners cannot afford an attorney, I know I couldn’t, so if you cannot afford an attorney, just do as much research as you can and try to make the best decision based on your situation. Remember, consulting an attorney is the best advice I could give.

Sole Proprietorship

Advantages

* State file costs are NOT required
* The Administration overhead is normally low
* The Owner normally has full control of the business activities

Disadvantages

* Personal assets are at risk to lawsuits
* The company ceases to exist if the owner quits or dies
* Is subject to self-employment taxes
* Interest is NOT transferrable
* Business CANNOT offset taxes using medical reimbursements and other benefits

Ecommerce

I am just setting up my new ecommerce website and I am surprised at how easy it has been. I expected it to be really difficult to do everything, as my knowledge of web design is quite limited, but actually it has been much better than I thought. I am using a EFT payment system and the one I am using seems very simple indeed to set up. It also seems like it will be easy for my customers to use as well, which of course is just as important. I have been doing quite a bit of research, because I want to make sure I make the right decision.

I know that another business that I work closely with used ACH Processing and did not get on with it at all. I was not sure that their business was ready for online sales anyway, but it is why I have been so careful in putting my website in to place and choosing what I consider to be the very best payment system for me and my customers. I am confident that I have made the right decision, as many of my customers have been asking for a way of paying online whereas he was never sure whether it was something that his customers wanted and that of course makes a huge difference,

Factors to consider while buying gold jewelry

Gold is one of the precious metals that is used in our day to day life in the form of gold jewelry like white gold chains and initial pendants. Among the various factors that are considered in buying gold jewelry it is important that you consider the karat of gold in the gold jewelry that you buy, whether it is white gold chains or initial pendants or any other gold jewelry. Pure gold is 24 karat which is not good for making jewelry. Some other base metals are mixed with pure gold so that its physical properties are altered to make gold jewelry. The number of parts of base metal that is mixed with pure gold is important in the quality of the gold jewelry that is made.

If you are buying 14 karat white gold chains, you should know that gold in that jewelry is 14 parts and the remaining 10 parts is some base metal. The higher the karat of gold in the gold jewelry the higher is the composition of pure gold in that jewelry. The choice of the base metal used in gold gives the yellow color or the white color for the gold jewelry whether it is initial pendants or white gold chains.
